January is always a month of new beginnings. As the haze of new years eve clears, everyone has high hopes for the year that lies ahead. Whether we stick to them or not, we all have high hopes and resolutions for the new year. Whether its losing weight, learning a new language, giving up some or other vice, or learning something new, we hope that you manage to keep your resolutions during 2011. This month’s wallpaper is aptly called ‘Resolutions’. Hopefully it’ll help you remember to keep yours.

Our desktop calendar wallpaper for July marks the winter solstice

We are really lucky here in Cape Town to get some pretty mild winters. Sure maybe not as balmy as Durban or Miami, but we still get some beautiful weather amongst the really cold and rainy days. The 21st of June marked our winter solstice, so the weather should start getting warmer as we begin sliding towards the summer months.

The DSLR camera was forgotten at home so this wallpaper shot was taken with the trusty iPhone 3GS camera.

Support Bafana Bafana in the World Cup with our June calendar wallpaper

June is here, and like most South Africans, we at The Forge are overflowing with excitement in anticipation of the World Cup soccer tournament kicking off on the 11th of the month.

Expecting a showcase of football and a carnival atmosphere, our desktop calendar wallpaper for June is a reflection of both our support for our National team “Bafana Bafana”, and our collective South African pride in hosting such an amazing tournament in our “back yard”.

April 2010: Free Desktop Calendar Wallpaper

Apologies for two things: Firstly that its already the 7th of April and we’re only releasing this baby now, and secondly that this is the first time we are deviating from our theme of letting the monthly wallpaper reflect a visual aspect of The Forge (usually in a photograph).
