The Forge Web Creations was commissioned to redesign the Cape Villa Collection website as well as build a property management system to allow for easy maintenance of the properties and expand the website to accommodate for apartments.

Wordpress was chosen as the framework for it’s impressive features and the property management system was built directly into Wordpress to allow for easy management of the properties without using any 3rd party software. Other features integrated with the system involved site search, RSS feeds, news archives and a dynamic enquiry form. Further to this, a Featured Property box was built to rotate through featured properties and a Latest Property function was built in the footer of the website to show the latest properties as they are added to the website.

The look and feel of the new website is a custom Wordpress design, which was marked up in valid CSS/XHTML and integrated into the Wordpress framework.

Michael Olivier trained at The London Cordon Bleu Cookery School and is a well known Cape food and wine fundi. Michael is an expert when it comes to people, places, wine and food and he recently approached The Forge Web Creations to create an online brand for him, and a site that he could use to easily publish his knowledge and share his various experiences in the hospitality industry.

The Forge jumped at the opportunity and eagerly set about creating a system in which Michael could publish his information and opinions. We also implemented additional services such as an advert management system, RSS syndication and newsletter subscription.

We are now extremely proud to announce the launch of Michael Olivier’s new online brand

With the launch of our latest project, JustBcoz, we’re thrilled to announce that our work has been featured on some highly reputable websites:

As a result of this great achievement, the number of people visiting the website has doubled and this clearly shows that creating an aesthetically pleasing website has a powerful marketing punch.

The design of the website was done by our talented designer, Sue and the battle of the CSS transparencies was handled magically by Brendon – well done!

We are extremely happy and proud to announce the launch of our brand new site, the Cape Stay Blog!

csblog

The Cape Stay Blog has been created to supplement our popular and highly successful online accommodation directory for Cape Town and the Western Cape, South Africa – the Cape Stay Accommodation Guide.

Our new website, powered by WordPress, will keep visitors and subscribers up to date with the latest holiday and business accommodation news through regular blog postings that will also feed through to both our Facebook Fan page and our Twitter stream.

It’s been a tremendous learning curve for us to build this site from the ground up and our team has had great fun pulling together to make the Cape Stay Blog happen. We’ve spent nearly 4 months developing the site and creating valuable content to help visitors find their perfect accommodation in our beautiful province.

We are very pleased with the final result and thrilled that the Cape Stay Blog is now LIVE!
