The Forge has grown!

Here at The Forge Web Creations, we strive to deliver high quality web solutions and outstanding service to each and every one of our valuable customers. In order to achieve this, we need skilled team members with a great work ethic, a “can-do” attitude and oodles of passion for what they do.

After the recent and very exciting additions of our resident WordPress legend, Mark, and our obscenely talented new junior designer, Rou, we are now proud to announce that we have been joined by two new staff members to help us in our continued quest to deliver service excellence.

Andre van Rooyen is a technology buff with years of experience in the field of development, research and planning. Andre has joined us to assist with our new WordPress theme site, where his skills will be put to use providing technical support and assisting with content and strategy. We are thrilled to have Andre as part of the brand new eFrog Digital Design team.

Zurayfa Alexander is our most recent addition and joins The Forge as a junior front-end developer. She will be designing, programming and publishing websites for our highly successful Cape Stay Accommodation Guide. Zurayfa brings youth and vitality to our awesome Cape Stay team and we look forward to sharing in her bright future.

Our WordPress theme Greyzed gets integrated into Wordpress.com

The Forge is extremely proud to announce that our free WordPress theme Greyzed has been chosen by the fine people over at Automattic to be included as a selectable theme for all users of WordPress.com hosted blogs.

As huge fans of WordPress we consider this an enormous honour, and are incredibly excited at having our theme used and enjoyed by such a potentially large number of bloggers.

Thanks WordPress, and we hope you all dig the theme.

We sponsored a relaxing weekend away

Towards to end of last year, The Forge Web Creations was approached by Rondebosch Boys’ High School and asked whether we would be interested in sponsoring a prize for a raffle they were having to raise funds. We accepted the request and decided that we would sponor a weekend away for one lucky couple at one of the beautiful accommodation spots on the Cape Stay Cape Accommodation Guide.

The raffle was a great success and the weekend away at The Retreat was thoroughly enjoyed by Tim, a youth paster, and his wife Leslie. Leslie and Tim kindly sent through a couple photographs.

We are thrilled that you had a good weekend away and are pleased to have been involved!

It’s already December!! This year has really flown by!

2009 has been incredible for us here at The Forge Web Creations – a year of exciting growth, bringing with it new challenges, terrific opportunities and enormous personal reward for our whole team.

To all our valuable Clients: I’d would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support of our business over he last 12 months.

After this eventful year, it’s time for us to take a much-needed break so that we can recharge our batteries and return refreshed and ready to tackle the challenges of 2010.

Our last day of business is today, Tuesday, 15 December 2009 and we shall re-open Tuesday, 12 January 2010.

On behalf of my entire team, I wish you and your loved ones all the very best over the Festive Season and we look forward to working with you again in the New Year.
